Barbara Burton Stainback, 85, of Gloucester Point, VA, died Thursday, May 2, 2013 at Walter Reed Convalescent Center.

She was a native of Halifax County, the daughter of the late Robert Roy ''Jack'' Burton and Luna Mae Dixon Burton. Barbara was also preceded in death by her husband, Paul Calvin Stainback, and her son, Stephen Keith Stainback. She was a graduate of Roanoke Rapids High School. Graveside funeral services will be held on Monday, May 6, at 1:00 p.m. at Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids with Rev. Randy Martin officiating.
